ImagiFest: An Open House Gone Wild

FREE (ImagiFest is not a drop-off event. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.)
Imaginations run wild with a new open house event: ImagiFest. Families explore Imagination Stage with an Imagination Safari adventure, previews of Mouse on the Move and Aladdin’s Luck, Sample Classes in creative drama and dance, a chalk graffiti wall, behind-the-scenes tours, and more serious fun.
Imagination Safari
Dr. Dolittle needs your help to rescue our theatre season from The White Queen. Your family must travel through distant lands (like Hip-Hopia and Narnia) and use "Actor's Tools" (bodies, voices, minds, and most importantly, imaginations) to save the stories. You won't want to miss this interactive "safari" through the building decorated with scenic elements from each show in our 2011-2012 season. Tours start at 9:30 a.m. and depart regularly until 3:30 p.m. Advance reservations recommended.
Geared toward children ages 4-10 and their families.
Show Previews
In the morning, join us for a sneak preview of Mouse on the Move. In this newly devised interactive play, two adventurous mice are determined to reach the moon, which they are sure is made of delicious cheese. Show times at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Recommended for families with children ages 1-5.
In the afternoon, join us for a preview of Aladdin's Luck, the first show in Imagiantion Stage's 2011-2012 season, which also includes Dr. Dolittle, P.Nokio (a hip-hop musical), Rapunzel, and The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. Show times at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Recommended for families with children ages 4 & up.
Sample Classes
Sample Classes allow families to try out what Imagination Stage's fall semester will offer in a classroom setting. The morning is loaded with classes for the very young (1-5) and the afternoon focuses on grades K-5. Advance reservations recommended.
Even More Fun!
Whole Foods Bethesda and Yamas Mediterranean Grill will be on hand with special treats for kids both big and small.
